Wolf's Gorge, Elbe sandstone and Saxony's Bastille – Saxon Switzerland

The Elbe Sandstone Mountains are not merely for climbers and hikers heaven on earth. Generations of artists have also been inspired by the bizarre rock formations. Our five-hour tour includes a visit to the Bastei viewpoint, a rock pulpit perched 200 metres above the Elbe, and furthermore Königstein Fortress, whose insurmountable walls are for many reminiscent of Troy; it is the largest fortified castle in Germany.
