Porcelain, Renaissance portals and
Gothic splendour – Meissen

Meissen is in many respects quite the opposite to Dresden. The “cradle of Saxony” is much older than the Saxon capital and has preserved an homogeneous historical face. Crooked lanes, magnificent Renaissance facades and the impressive palace throning above the town recreate the atmosphere of bygone ages. Upon request, the tour can be extended by a visit to the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory, the Gothic cathedral or Albrechtsburg Palace (please contact me for details of the admission charges).
